Check-List for Application for Adjustment of Status (I-485)

The USCIS will begin accepting applications for Adjustment of Status  for EB3 Applicants if your priority date is Jan 01, 2015 or before.

Here is the ‘generic‘ list of documents you need to submit with Adjustment of status ( I485). The USCIS may revise the required list of docs in view of new changes.

  1. Form I-485
  2. Form I-485J
  3. Form G-1145
  4. Form I-765
  5. Form I-131
  6. Form I-944
  7. Medical Examination ( I-693)
  8. I-140 Approval Notice
  9. Last Approved I-129 (If Applicable)
  10. Valid H1B Visa
  11. Employment Verification Letter
  12. Birth Certificate or  Non Availability of Birth Certificate with secondary evidences if the Birth Certificate is not available for all applicants. ( See – Why do you need a  Non Availability Certificate )
  13. Marriage Certificate if you are Married or  Non Availability of Marriage Certificate with secondary evidences if the Marriage Certificate is not available. ( See – Why do you need a  Non Availability Certificate )
  14. English Translation of All non English Documents
  15. I-94 of all the applicants in the I-485 (Principal and Derivative Beneficiaries)
  16. Copy of  Passport of All Applicants (Principal and Derivative Beneficiaries)
  17. Six Passport Size Color Photos
  18. Pay Stubs of the last three months
  19. Copy of Bank Statements
  20. Last Years W2 / 1099
  21. Copy of Credit Report
  22. Copy of Health Insurance
