3. USCIS Torch API and Government Data
Certain Allied Legal services may connect with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services ("USCIS") Torch API to retrieve authorized case-status information.

Users may access or submit USCIS-related information only when they are authorized to do so. Users must not attempt to access another person's immigration information without proper authority, permission, or legal basis.
4. Information About Other People
Legal and immigration matters may involve information concerning spouses, children, parents, relatives, witnesses, beneficiaries, employees, business partners, opposing parties, or other individuals.
Sharing family, medical, financial, immigration, genetic, or similar personal information may affect the privacy of other people. 5. When Information May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information and do not provide personal information to third parties for their own promotional or marketing purposes.

Service providers are permitted to receive information only as reasonably necessary to perform authorized services for us, to comply with applicable law, or when you have directed or actively consented to the disclosure.
We require service providers handling personal information on our behalf to protect that information and to comply with applicable confidentiality, privacy, security, and contractual requirements.
Third parties are not authorized by us to independently use or disclose personal information, including de-identified, anonymized, or pseudonymized user information, for unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis and, where required, active user consent.
6. De-Identified, Anonymized, or Pseudonymized Information
We do not sell de-identified, anonymized, or pseudonymized information.
If such information is used for security, system improvement, analytics, troubleshooting, legal compliance, or service administration, we will take reasonable measures designed to prevent the information from being used to identify an individual.
A third-party service provider may not use or disclose such information for an unrelated purpose merely because direct identifiers have been removed.
7. Your Data-Sharing Choices
Where applicable, you may choose whether to provide optional information or authorize optional sharing. Some information, however, may be necessary to provide a requested legal, payment, scheduling, communications, portal, or USCIS-connected function.
Choosing not to provide required information may limit our ability to perform the requested function.
You may withdraw an optional consent where permitted by law. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawfully completed before the withdrawal.
8. SMS and Mobile Information
If you separately opt in to receive text messages from the Law Office of Gopal Krishan, we may send customer-care messages such as appointment confirmations, reminders, requested cost-estimate or proposal notifications, service-related follow-ups, and matter-related communications.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for site operation, security, preferences, analytics, and performance.
You may control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.
We do not use cookies to sell personal information.
10. California Privacy Rights
California law may provide privacy rights depending on the nature of the information, the relationship involved, and the law that applies.
Applicable rights may include the right to request:
- Access to personal information.
- Information about categories of personal information collected.
- Information about how personal information is used or disclosed.
- Correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion of eligible personal information.
- Limitation of certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable.
- Opt-out rights where a covered sale or sharing activity exists.
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We will not discriminate against an individual for exercising a privacy right available under applicable California law.
11. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and as necessary to meet legal, professional, contractual, ethical, accounting, security, dispute-resolution, and recordkeeping obligations.
Different categories of information may have different retention periods. Legal-matter records may need to be retained even after a portal account is closed when retention is required or permitted by law, professional responsibility rules, an engagement agreement, a legal hold, insurance requirements, or legitimate recordkeeping needs.
Dormant Client Portal Accounts
A client-portal account may be treated as dormant after 24 months of inactivity.
We may deactivate a dormant account for security or administrative purposes. Personal information associated with a dormant account may be retained for up to 24 months after account deactivation, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary or required by law, professional responsibility obligations, legal holds, contractual obligations, or the needs of an active or former legal matter.
12. Permanent Deletion and Account Closure
You may request closure of an eligible online account or permanent deletion of eligible personal information by contacting: support@alliedlegal.us.
Please include:
- Your full name.
- The email address or phone number associated with your account.
- A clear statement that you are requesting account closure, data deletion, or both.
We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
We will ordinarily complete a verified eligible deletion request within 45 days. If additional time is reasonably necessary and permitted by law, we will notify you.
Important: Closing a portal account does not always mean that every record can immediately be destroyed. A law office may be required or permitted to retain certain client files, billing records, communications, conflict records, court records, signed agreements, legal documents, or other information because of professional, legal, ethical, contractual, security, or recordkeeping obligations.
When information is eligible for permanent deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete or securely dispose of the information from active systems. Residual information may remain temporarily in secure backup systems until normal backup retention cycles expire.
13. Access, Correction, Export, and Transfer Requests
You may contact us to request access to or correction of eligible personal information associated with you.
Where applicable and technically feasible, you may also request that eligible information be provided to you in a reasonably usable format.
If health or medical information has been voluntarily provided through our services and is eligible for release, we will provide reasonable options for secure access, transmission, download, or deletion, subject to applicable law and professional obligations.
14. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or destruction.
Safeguards may include access controls, authentication, encrypted connections, secure hosting, security monitoring, restricted credentials, vendor controls, backups, and other measures appropriate to the system involved.
USCIS production API keys, OAuth credentials, and similar sensitive credentials are intended to be stored using secure technical methods and are not intended to be publicly exposed.
No website, email platform, cloud system, text-message system, portal, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
15. Data Breach Notification
If we determine that a security incident involving personal information requires notice under applicable law, we will notify affected individuals as required.
When appropriate, the notice will describe the nature of the incident, the type of information involved, actions we have taken, steps the affected person may consider taking, and contact information for questions.
16. Attorney-Client Relationship and Confidentiality
Using this website, submitting a form, checking information through a public-facing service, sending an email or text message, or contacting our office does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship.
An attorney-client relationship is established only through an appropriate engagement process.
Please avoid sending highly sensitive or confidential information through a general public website form unless requested.
Separate legal, ethical, professional, and confidentiality duties may apply to information received in connection with an attorney-client relationship.
17. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website and portal may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites and services.
When you independently access a third-party website, that provider may have its own privacy policy and terms. We are not responsible for privacy practices of third-party systems that we do not control.
This provision does not reduce the obligations of service providers that process information on our behalf under applicable contracts, privacy requirements, confidentiality duties, or law.
18. Children's Privacy
Our general website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 through ordinary website use without appropriate authorization.
Legal matters may involve information about children. Such information may be processed when provided by a parent, guardian, client, attorney, authorized representative, or other person having an appropriate legal basis.
19. Business Transfer, Change of Ownership, or Closure
If Allied Legal PC / Law Office of Gopal Krishan undergoes a reorganization, transfer of ownership, merger, sale, transition, or closure, we will take reasonable steps to protect personal information and comply with applicable legal and professional obligations.
Users will be notified of a material change in ownership when notice is required or reasonably appropriate.
Personal information will not simply become available for unrelated use by a successor organization. A successor that receives personal information will be expected to maintain privacy protections consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
When appropriate, affected individuals may be provided an opportunity to securely receive, transfer, download, or request deletion of eligible information before a material change becomes effective, subject to legal and professional record-retention requirements.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy when our practices, technology, legal requirements, or services change.
The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date and revision date.
When a material change affects how personal information is collected, used, retained, disclosed, or shared, we will provide affected users with a clear, plain-language summary of the material change.
Where active consent is required, we will obtain an affirmative action from the affected user, such as selecting an acceptance checkbox, selecting an acceptance button, or completing another clear consent action.
Continued use alone will not be treated as active consent when affirmative consent to a material privacy or terms change is required.
If a user does not consent to a material change that requires consent, access to the affected optional feature or digital service may be limited until the user provides consent or chooses to discontinue that feature.
21. USCIS Terms and Government Disclaimer
Our use of USCIS APIs is subject to applicable USCIS and U.S. Department of Homeland Security requirements, policies, technical requirements, and terms governing authorized API access.
Allied Legal PC / Law Office of Gopal Krishan is a private law office. We are not USCIS, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, or another government agency.
Access to USCIS information through our services does not replace official notices issued by USCIS and does not guarantee any immigration result, processing time, approval, or government action.
Users must comply with applicable laws and may not use our systems to obtain, attempt to obtain, misuse, scrape, disclose, or distribute USCIS information without authorization.
Our general Terms and Conditions also apply to use of AlliedLegal.us and related digital services.
22. No Sale of Personal Information
Allied Legal does not sell personal information, mobile information, USCIS information, client information, SMS consent information, de-identified information, anonymized information, or pseudonymized user information for profit or other monetary consideration.
